DOLFINS PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

A friendly reminder to all Dolfin parents that the Board has adopted a Code of Conduct for  Dolfin families. We ask that all parents read the Code of Conduct below and abide by it.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

As a parent of a swimmer and member of the Delmar Dolfin Swim Club and USA
Swimming, I will abide by the following guidelines set forth by the board.
1.    Communicate in a positive manner with parents, swimmers and coaches
       at all times.
2.    Demonstrate good sportsmanship by conducting myself in a manner that
earns the respect of my child, other swimmers, parents, officials and the
      coaches at meets and practices.
3.    I will not coach or instruct the team or any swimmer at practice or meets
(from the stands or any other area) or interfere with coaches on the pool deck.
4.    I will not meet with coaches or swimmers during practice to discuss any
      concerns or issues.
5.    I will not interrupt or confront the coaching staff on the pool deck during
       practice or meets.
6.     I will not use inappropriate or abusive language towards coaches,
swimmers, parents, officials and my own child.
7.    I understand that criticizing, name-calling, use of abusive language or
gestures directed toward the coaches, officials and/or any swimmer
would not be permitted or tolerated.
8.    I will not display any behavior that would bring discredit or disruption
to our swimmers, coaching staff and our organization.
9.    I will demonstrate team spirit and loyalty.

Should I fail to abide by these guidelines, I understand that I subject myself to
disciplinary action. The Delmar Dolfin Board of Directors reserves the right to
terminate any membership at any time for the best interest of the club and
its members.
